I am sorry
For anyone who knows me,
✨ I am a yoga nerd
✨ I am the kinda girl who #yogaeverydamnday
✨ I love yoga so much that I became a teacher
✨ I can be exhausting with my yoga talk that my family would ask me to shut up
I was away for a month. I still practiced yoga every damn day, but it was more like “maintenance yoga” (which for others is different).
Taking some classes at local studios for 20 minutes here and there.
I didn’t do my Headstand every day. Due to the lack of blankets, I did not do any shoulder stands, and I did not practice deep back exercises.
Meanwhile, I tried out other sports just for fun (because that’s what you do when you’re on vacation).
In addition to pilates, I also did strength training. At home, I don’t do these things. These are the things I don’t do at home. At home, it’s JUST YOGA.
Yes, it is the extra pounds that I have put on but it’s also the fact that my fitness routines have changed. I came home with a heavier, stiffer, bulkier body. 😔
Hamstrings are tighter.
Shoulders are stiffer.
The struggle is real.
Now I know.
As I plan my September classes, the focus is on 𝗗𝗶𝘀𝗰𝗶𝗽𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗙𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻.
We will study the essential poses that I think EVERYONE needs, whether you are stiff or flexible. The poses that would make our body feel both strong and free.
