And yes, sometimes there are structural misalignments, in which we also learn that itโs going to be a part of us that may not be โfixedโ.
In this case, we learn to work with them and make our bodies more balanced by building our body awareness in practice.
But most postural misalignments come from habits, but more importantly not knowing the HOW.
How to straighten my legs in Downward Dog? How to actually โsquare the hipsโ? How to lengthen the spineโs forward folds?
In Alignment classes, instead of focusing on the shape, we focus on the actions within the poses.
