It’s so often that we look at what other people have or can do, and then feel lacking in ourselves.
I remembered as a new teacher,𝘐 𝘧𝘦𝘭𝘵 𝘪𝘯𝘴𝘦𝘤𝘶𝘳𝘦.
I looked at the success of other teachers and I felt incompetent.
I compared myself to other people and desperately try to keep up or even, try to BE other people.
It’s a big mistake. ❌
We can’t be other people. Because we can only be who we are if we want to be an authentic teacher.
A little advice for teachers…
◾ Stop trying to be other people.
◾ Stop trying to get what other people have.
◾ Stop the urge to compete.
Instead, play your strength.
Appreciate and take advantage of what you already have,
And use them fully and wisely.
And when we let this attitude guide our actions,
We will be the authentic teacher we want to be.
