In the old days, the only way to learn yoga is to go to the studio and take classes.
Now there are unlimited resources online where we can get inspiration in our yoga practice and teachings. 🙌
I also look for inspiration online.
I find it sometimes useful, but it doesn’t work all the time. 😔
Do you remember going to a yoga class where in the middle there was some “funky stuff” that you knew in your head that the teacher had just found online and is just throwing in the sequence without any explanation?
I’ve had that experience.
I admit to doing it, but I no longer do.
I still find inspiration online.
However, I need to “test the theory” and try it out multiple times until I can understand the movements and the actions yourself (which is not always the case when you watch a video or watch a reel online) and embody the practice before you TRY IT OUT on students.
The hooking over the chair sequence twisting sequence is something I enjoy, however, it does not work for most people in the class.
TEST THE THEORY.
EMBODIMENT IS THE KEY TO TEACHING WELL. 😊
