There is a lot of fear right now around COVID. I feel I need to do my share to openly discuss about it. Maybe some of you out there need help too.
While it seems to be “another flu”, it’s not. The complicated part is not the flu itself, but the stress around it. The stress that I may pass it to the people around me. The guilt that I may have passed it to somebody. The stress to decide whether I should see the doctor, send the kids to school…
I didn’t have time to stress out what the virus itself can do to my health, but one thing I am sure of, stress and fear, is not helping me get better.
On the first day when I found out I had COVID, I panicked. All sorts of thoughts and fear ran through my mind.
𝙁𝙚𝙖𝙧, 𝙞𝙨 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙬𝙤𝙧𝙨𝙩 𝙩𝙝𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙬𝙚 𝙘𝙖𝙣 𝙙𝙤 𝙛𝙤𝙧 𝙤𝙪𝙧 𝙞𝙢𝙢𝙪𝙣𝙚 𝙨𝙮𝙨𝙩𝙚𝙢.
So often we respond to fear with fight or flight response. We find ourselves feeling anxious. The negative energy in our head, are far worse than the flu symptoms.
Virus is contagious. So is fear.
Instead of clouding myself with fear and anxiety, I choose to counteract the negative energy with light 💡.
Spend some time reading, writing, light yoga practice, connecting with others (on zoom of course). I can’t do much. Perhaps 30 minutes at a time. But this is how I CHOOSE to help my body and mind “heal”.
Something crazy to consider… EVERYTHING, literally, from cells, bacterias, viruses, and even our emotions including fear and anxiety are ENERGY.
Perhaps fighting the virus, is to clear out that negative energy, and replace with some positive ones. I use yoga, meditation & breath work to fight my fatigue to regain energy, to find balance and strength.
That is true HEALING.
As of this morning, I tested negative.
𝘾𝙝𝙤𝙤𝙨𝙚 𝙘𝙤𝙪𝙧𝙖𝙜𝙚 𝙤𝙫𝙚𝙧 𝙛𝙚𝙖𝙧, 𝙞𝙨 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙢𝙤𝙨𝙩 𝙥𝙤𝙬𝙚𝙧𝙛𝙪𝙡 𝙬𝙚𝙖𝙥𝙤𝙣 𝙬𝙚 𝙝𝙖𝙫𝙚 𝙩𝙤 𝙛𝙞𝙜𝙝𝙩 𝙖𝙜𝙖𝙞𝙣𝙨𝙩 𝙖𝙣𝙮𝙩𝙝𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙞𝙣 𝙡𝙞𝙛𝙚.
