𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗳𝗲𝗲𝗹𝘀 𝗹𝗶𝗸𝗲 𝗵𝗼𝗺𝗲
First time traveling in 2.5 years, I met new people and revisited old ones.
One of the conversations is “𝘏𝘰𝘸 𝘥𝘰 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘭𝘪𝘬𝘦 𝘚𝘪𝘯𝘨𝘢𝘱𝘰𝘳𝘦?”
As much as I have lived in Singapore for 3 years now, I still remember the few months when I was still traveling back and forth to Hong Kong. I didn’t feel like I was going home when I returned to Singapore.
It felt like coming home this time, 3 years later, when I came back to Singapore.
As much as I love Hong Kong and miss Hong Kong, I also know I am finally settled in Singapore. 🤗
As much as I can be analytical about what I like about Singapore – safe, clean, organized – all of these things people love about this place, the reason why I enjoy it here is because of the people I’ve met – friends, colleagues, students; and because of the experiences I’ve had here, from practicing to teaching to shopping to eating, and for every other moment, I’ve been here.
It’s the experience and the people that make a place special. ✨
So often our first line of thinking is analytical. We have an amazing brain, allowing us to think logically, reason, to make the right decisions.
But perhaps we should also consider feeling more. Instead of being analytical, think about how we feel about things.
Don’t forget we also have a beautiful heart, allowing us to feel what we feel, and sometimes, what FEELS right is what is right.
It’s good to be home. ❤️
Returning to work tomorrow. See you all. 😊
