Refined Foundation from feet up

While we like to set big goals and think about how we can โ€œ๐˜ฑ๐˜ณ๐˜ฐ๐˜จ๐˜ณ๐˜ฆ๐˜ด๐˜ดโ€, itโ€™s important to revisit the foundation. ๐Ÿ™Œ

Everything grows from our roots.

We require a solid foundation to support the balance and dynamic actions and fluidity in our yoga practice to support the upper part of the body but our FEET are often ignored! ๐Ÿ™

Our feet form the foundation and how they connect to the floor impacts the alignment of the whole body like a chain reaction that runs from the feet through the ankles, legs, and pelvis all the way to the crown of our head.

In Sanskrit, the word โ€œ๐—ก๐˜†๐—ฎ๐˜€๐—ฎโ€ โ€“ refers to the art of โ€œ๐˜ฑ๐˜ญ๐˜ข๐˜ค๐˜ช๐˜ฏ๐˜จโ€.

Every pose grows from the ground upwards. Activating our feet takes awareness and practice.

This February, we start the ground up.

In the 4-week Alignment Fundamental Series, we will study the actions in all the commonly practiced standing poses.
