TOO MANY BALLS
It was a busy teaching day. 💪
I had 3-morning classes.
And then in between, I was trying to slot in several kinds of stuff.
My teacher was doing his workshop in Hong Kong and I logged on to ZOOM and joined the first 90 minutes of a 3-hour workshop and then I dashed out to teach.
After teaching I assisted in Teacher Training giving feedback to new teachers in their teaching practicum.
When it was finished I logged back on ZOOM and joined the second half of my teacher’s workshop in Hong Kong.
Later my teacher sent me a Whatsapp message with 3 words….
“𝗧𝗼𝗼 𝗺𝗮𝗻𝘆 𝗯𝗮𝗹𝗹𝘀?” The text said. 🤯
The first reaction I had was… “𝘚𝘩𝘹𝘵. 𝘏𝘦 𝘪𝘴 𝘮𝘢𝘥 𝘢𝘵 𝘮𝘦 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘡𝘰𝘰𝘮𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘪𝘯 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘰𝘶𝘵 𝘰𝘧 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘸𝘰𝘳𝘬𝘴𝘩𝘰𝘱 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘥𝘰𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘴 𝘩𝘢𝘭𝘧-𝘢𝘴𝘴 𝘸𝘰𝘳𝘬.” 😬
Then the second reaction was feeling sheepish as I know he was right. 😐
𝘔𝘺 𝘪𝘯𝘵𝘦𝘯𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯 𝘸𝘢𝘴 𝘨𝘰𝘰𝘥.
I wanted to do more, do as much as I can.
I am trying to juggle way too many things.
As he said, “Too many balls…” I was distracted. I was annoyed that I missed this half and that half. It didn’t feel complete. 😖
Always go for doing 𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮𝘁 𝗮 𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗲.🙌
Instead of doing many things, do one thing REALLY REALLY WELL.
But the biggest reflection on these little 3 words, is that I have someone, who knows me well; who sees me before I do; who I respect and trust; and who can smack me and I would immediately be alert and adjust my course. 🤗
Do you have someone like that in your life?
